Emerging from Galicia’s vibrant underground scene, Coke Cortés launched his career in 2021, quickly gaining recognition for his powerful and uncompromising sound. His early performances in some of Galicia’s most emblematic underground clubs laid the foundation for what would become a rapidly ascending trajectory in the European techno scene.
Drawing influence from Dungeon Synth and ambient music, his sets are more than just performances, they are hypnotic journeys through bleak, raw industrial soundscapes. With a signature blend of relentless energy, textural complexity, and emotional weight, Coke Cortés continues to shape and challenge the sound of contemporary underground techno.
By 2022, his distinctive style, rooted in raw industrial techno and driven by heavy, distorted kicks, captured the attention of audiences beyond Spain. He soon found himself performing at some of Europe’s most respected venues and events, including Mantra in Italy; Riktus, Estação, and Disturb in Portugal; Impulz in Germany; Nexus in France; Hostile TakeOver in England, Garage of the Bass Valley, Barcelona or Queen in Vigo. Each set solidified his reputation as a selector who delivers dark, immersive, and high-energy experiences on the dancefloor.
In 2024, Coke Cortés expanded his artistic reach by venturing into music production. His releases began circulating within the underground techno community, affirming his role as not only a skilled DJ but also a forward-thinking producer contributing to the evolution of the genre. He has published music on respected labels such as System, Legion, 1994recordings, Krach and Wildlife alongside several self-releases.
He is also the co-founder of Die Nacht Brennt Club, a collective based in Vigo that is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of techno and hard sound. Through this platform, he has helped foster a space for innovation, community, and uncompromising musical intensity in the local scene.
