MIKES, also known as Miguel González Vázquez, is a Spanish DJ and producer specializing in Schranz and Hard Groove, known for the explosive energy he brings to the booth and the intensity of his sets, which connect with the crowd from the very first beat. His journey into electronic music began in 2018, and in 2023 he took the leap into professionalism after completing the Professional DJ Course at IGMA Vigo.
Currently, MIKES is developing new music that maintains the intensity of his earlier work while refining the sonic identity that is becoming his signature. With his sights set on the broader European scene, he continues to shape his career with a clear vision: to deliver powerful, uncompromising techno rooted in authenticity and artistic evolution.
Deeply influenced by genres such as Schranz, Hard Groove, and Raw Techno, MIKES has built a distinctive sound rooted in aggressive rhythms and precise technique. His ability to blend the raw energy of old-school techno with hypnotic, modern grooves defines his identity and sets him apart in every performance.
Throughout his career, MIKES has performed across numerous clubs and events in Spain, holding residencies at Hyper Club and Bauhaus Club, and taking part in prominent showcases such as Wildlife, Die Nacht Brennt Club, We Dance Electronic Experience, and Aghodelo. His sets have gained recognition for their forceful delivery and dynamic structure, always aligned with the energy of the dancefloor.
He has shared the stage with notable international artists including Future 666, Carmen Electro, Coyu, Pisapia, B2, Novah, Esilise, Marco Leckbert, Madson Carpenter, and Crime, further establishing his presence within the European underground circuit.
As a producer, MIKES focuses on fusing the raw spirit of classic Schranz with a personal twist of groove and rhythm. His first official release, "Back to the Old School", a collaboration with Vital Groove on Rhythm Records, showcases this approach through aggressive percussion, enveloping energy, and a timeless techno atmosphere.
